- In a bowl,put your flour,baking powder,cinnamon,lemon zest,salt and mix with a whisk then make a well at the center.Add beaten egg(in the milk add the vegetable oil) and add it in the well and mix with a mwiko.
- Remove it from the bowl and knead in a floured surface till its a soft but not so hard dough and let it sit for an hour or so covered with a hot wet cloth.
- Cut into portions and roll.(Roll without adding any flour.Just roll slowly) then cut into desired shapes and put them on a bit floured place to prevent them from sticking.
- Heat your oil(place the end of your mwiko in the heating oil and if bubbles appear know its ready for frying).
- Serve with hot tea or any desired beverage and enjoy!
