  1. Prepare 1 cup All-purpose flour or Maida
  2. Make ready 2 tsp Cornflour
  3. Prepare 1 tsp Gram Flour or Besan
  4. Take 1/4 cup Yoghurt
  5. Get 1 pinch Yellow food colour
  6. Get 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  7. Take 3/4 cup Water or less
  8. Prepare For THE SUGAR SYRUP -
  9. Get 1 cup Sugar
  10. Take 3/4 cup Water
  11. Take 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  12. Prepare 1 tsp Lemon juice

Instructions to make Instant Jalebis (without fermentation):
  1. Prepare a thick but flowing consistency batter out of all the ingredients. Addition of water depends on the quality of the flour used. So use it accordingly. Keep it covered for about 30 minutes. Heat oil on a low heat. Do not bring it to a smoking point. Start making the swirls in a clockwise fashion. (The oil should be hot and keep the heat on a low to medium high heat only.)
  2. Make a single consistency Sugar syrup and keep it warm. If possible keep it on a low heat. As soon as you fry them. Start dipping each Jalebi in the warm sugar syrup for a minute or so. And then remove onto a serving platter. Serve them hot with Cream or Rabri or just as it is.

Here am sharing the recipe for Instant jalebi without yeast. For the sour taste, i added curd. So it is very easy to whip up this dessert. I truely enjoyed making this melt in mouth Indian sweet at home. Generally, batter for Jalebi is prepared with all-purpose flour before a day of making it for better fermentation and deep-fried in ghee or oil, but it is instant so no need to wait for a day.
