- Collects the ingredients.Wash chawal and dal.
- Take a cooker, add washed chawal, dal, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1tsp salt, 4 cups water. Cover with the lid. Cook for 1 whistle on high flame.
- Let it cool down.Open the lid.
- Heat a pan, add ghee, cumin seeds hing, mix capsicum. Saute for one min. Add tomato, garam masala, red chilli, coriander powder, 1/2 tsp salt. Mix well. Cover with the lid.Cook for 3 mins on low flame.
- Add 2 cups water, let it boil, add prepared khichdi. Mix well. Cook for few seconds.
